Parenthood Series

I watched this and was so moved by the way the school handled the situation with the boy who has not been diagnosed with Apergers. I can’t believe they told the parents he was not a fit for the school instead of helping to understand the child. Well, I guess I can understand since a lot of parents with children that have Aspergers have had similar experiences.  Koodo’s to the producer who I understand has a 12 year old boy with Aspergers. Every day I feel like more awareness is being formed for the children that are so misunderstood.

This is an awesome series that discovers the challenges of Aspergers.

Enjoy and let me know what you think. It plays Tuesdays at 10:00 Eastern Time.

I watched Parenthood for the first time last night to check out the treatment of the Asperger’s issue. The thing that has stayed with me from last night’s show, as a parent of a child with Asperger’s, was the comment the behavioral therapist character made. He said that the research shows that parents are the single most significant factor affecting a child with Asperger’s success/well-being (or lack of)in the future. Regarding the research, I wonder if that’s true. I wouldn’t be surprised. Wow. We constantly battle feeling ill-equipped! We pray for wisdom and guidance every day.
